I. Overview
Allergic rhinitis is a kind of allergic reaction disease, so it is also called allergic rhinitis. The main clinical manifestations are episodic nasal itching, nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose and nasal mucous membrane edema, pallor and turbinate enlargement.
The first report of acupuncture for allergic rhinitis was published in 1957. In the 1950s, there were several clinical data. In addition to acupuncture therapy, there are also acupuncture point injections and acupuncture point compresses. In the past decade or so, acupuncture has made great progress in the treatment of this disease, and various methods of acupoint stimulation, including pointer, light acupuncture, moxibustion (moxibustion, cold moxibustion), auricular pressure pills, ear acupuncture, etc., have been applied to the treatment of allergic rhinitis, and a large number of cases have been accumulated.
To a certain extent, the clinical pattern of acupuncture treatment for this disease has been revealed. In addition, Japanese doctors have also achieved good results in treating allergic rhinitis with acupuncture and Liang Gui Luo method. Further research on the mechanism of acupuncture in the treatment of allergic rhinitis is needed.
II. Treatment
1.Cold moxibustion (one)
(a) acupuncture points
Main acupuncture points: 3 groups: 1, Da loom, Ankylosis; 2, Fengmen, Spleen Yu; 3, Lung Yu, Kidney Yu.
(II) Treatment
Preparation of moxibustion medicine: take the medicine in the proportion of 50% of white mustard seeds, 30% of pseudoginseng and 20% of gansui, finely grind them together, mix them with fresh ginger juice and make them into 1 cm diameter cakes.
The treatment is carried out at the beginning, second and third volt of the year. Each time a group of points is selected. When applying, first sprinkle a little musk on the surface of the cake, then use a 4 cm2 large adhesive tape to apply the cake to the acupuncture points. Can be applied for 1 to 3 hours, if the patient feels burning unbearable, it is appropriate to remove the medicine cake in advance. For children, half an hour is sufficient. Some patients have blisters after applying the medicine, can be coated with gentian violet solution and covered with sterile dressing. The above three groups of acupuncture points are used in rotation, 3 times as a course of treatment, and a course of treatment is completed every year. This method should be used with caution in pregnant women and those with significant real heat.
(iii) Evaluation of efficacy
Criteria for differentiation of efficacy: clinically cured: symptoms and signs basically disappeared after applying the medicine, and no recurrence was observed for 1 year; effective: symptoms and signs reduced after applying the medicine, or the number of attacks decreased; ineffective: symptoms and signs did not improve.
A total of 556 cases were treated, 58 cases were clinically cured, 405 cases were effective, 93 cases were invalid, and the total effective rate was 83.2%.
2.Cold moxibustion (two)
(A) acupuncture points
Main acupoint: Yin Tang.
Supporting points: Neiguan.
(B) treatment method
Preparation of moxibustion medicine: one taste of spotted cysticercus (southern large spotted cysticercus or yellow and black small spotted cysticercus). Used raw, head and wings removed and ground, or fried and ground and sieved, bottled and set aside.
Usually only take the Yin Tang point, when the effect is not good, use the Neiguan point instead. Make the patient sit or lie on his back, sterilize the acupuncture point routinely, and after drying, use a 1 cm square piece of adhesive tape with a small hole as big as a soybean cut in the middle and put it on the acupuncture point. Take the appropriate amount of powdered zebrano, add water, honeycomb and vinegar to make a paste (not too thin, so as not to overflow elsewhere), and apply the drug directly on the skin inside the small hole. It can also be placed inside the hole with dried spotted cysticercus powder. Then take 1 cm2 of adhesive tape and cover with the original tape. 24 hours later, remove. Apply once a week. Note: Spotted cysticercus is a highly toxic drug with strong foaming effect, the area of external paste should not be too large, especially not into the eyes by mistake. If blisters appear after patching, small ones do not need to be treated, while large ones are punctured with sterile needle and coated with gentian violet solution.
(C) Evaluation of efficacy
Hundreds of cases have been treated, and the effective rate of 263 cases is 95-97.1%.
Acupuncture
(I) Acupuncture points
Main acupuncture point: Yin Tang, nasal passage.
Supporting points: Baihui, Yingxiang, Heigu, Fengchi.
Location of nasal passages: in the depression under the nasal bone, at the upper end of the nasolabial groove. This point is also known as nasal penetration, upper Yingxiang.
(B) Treatment
The main point is the main point, with one to two additional points as appropriate. Yin Tang point with a 1.5-inch 30 milli-needle, with a pinch method into the needle, piercing 2 points, the needle tip down after obtaining the gas, slowly piercing 1 inch along the subcutaneous, with twisting combined with lifting and inserting, so that the needle felt to reach the nose quasi-head, inside and nasal cavity. Nasal pass point, 1 inch 30 milli-needle, stab into 2 points, after obtaining the gas needle tip toward the direction of the Hall of Indians along the skin oblique penetrating stab, until the nasal cavity has a feeling of swelling is appropriate. Retain the needle for 20 minutes, every 5 minutes to perform a needle. Use moxa rolls as bird-pecking moxibustion for 15 to 20 minutes for the Baihui point. After the rest of the supporting points get qi, apply the method of flat tonic and flat diarrhea, and then connect the electro-acupuncture instrument, continuous wave, the intensity is appropriate for the patient to tolerate. It lasts for 30 minutes. The above method, acupuncture once a day, moxibustion therapy can be 2 times a day. 10 days for a course of treatment.
(C) efficacy evaluation
The above method treated a total of 160 cases, 105 cases of clinical recovery, 28 cases of significant effect, 23 cases of effective, 4 cases of ineffective, the total efficiency of 97.5%.
Laser irradiation of acupuncture points
(A) Acupuncture points
Main acupoints: Yingxiang, Hegu, Feosanli, Fengchi.
Supporting acupoints: runny nose plus Xing, nasal congestion plus Tongtian, reduced sense of smell plus Tongtian.
(B) Treatment
The main acupuncture point is the main point, and 2 to 3 points are taken at a time, with additional supporting points according to the symptoms. Irradiation with helium-neon laser, wavelength 6328 Å, out power 5 mV, irradiation direction can be consistent with the traditional acupuncture direction, such as Yingxiang point to the patient lying down, with the horizontal plane into 45 ° ~ 55 ° is appropriate, Fengchi point to the opposite eye, Hegu, foot Sanli to take the vertical direction. The light spot diameter is 1.5 to 2 mm. Generally irradiate each point for 4 to 5 minutes. Once a day, 10 to 12 times for a course of treatment.
(iii) Evaluation of efficacy
A total of 141 cases were treated, resulting in 72 cases of clinical recovery, 13 cases of significant effect, 40 cases of effective, 16 cases of ineffective, with an overall efficiency of 88.7%.
Finger acupuncture
(A) Acupuncture points
Main acupoints: 2 groups: 1, nasal passage, Yingxiang; 2, Hegu, Shaoshang.
(B) treatment method
Take one group of points at a time, alternating between the two groups. The first group of points: the patient is placed in a supine position, the physician is located on the right side of the patient, and with the radial edge of the right thumb (pre-applied with skimmed cotton to prevent cutting the patient’s skin), cut and press the selected point. When cutting, the thumb is straight and the other fingers are naturally bent in a semi-clenched fist, gradually exerting downward pressure to produce a local sense of soreness and swelling. The second group of acupuncture points is operated by applying finger cotton to the thumbs of both hands, cutting and pressing on the selected acupuncture points with slow pressure, so that the patient gets qi and produces a feeling of soreness and swelling. For each of the above points, cut and press for 5 minutes. The treatment should be carried out once a day, 10 times a course, stopping for one month, and then consolidating the treatment for 5 times.
(iii) Evaluation of efficacy
A total of 100 cases were treated, resulting in 88 cases of clinical recovery, 6 cases of significant effect, 12 cases of effective, and 2 cases of ineffective, with an overall efficiency of 98.0%.
Ear point pressure pills
(A) acupuncture points
Main points: inner nose, outer nose.
Supporting points: pharynx, lung, adrenal glands, endocrine.
(B) treatment method
The main point must be taken, plus 1 or 2 supporting points as appropriate. Place a magnetic bead (magnetic field 380 gauss) on a 0.7×0.7 cm square piece of tape and apply it to the pre-detoxified ear point. Apply to one ear at a time. After the patching, pressure is applied until the auricle is filled with blood. The patient is instructed to apply pressure on his own, more than 3 times a day, with moderate intensity, 30 times each time. 3-4 times a day, alternating between the two ears. 4 times a course of treatment, stopping treatment for 3 days between courses.
(III) Evaluation of efficacy
A total of 97 cases were treated, 44 cases were clinically cured, 20 cases were apparently effective, 29 cases were effective, and 3 cases were ineffective, with an overall efficiency of 96.9%.
Auricular acupuncture
(A) Acupuncture points
Main acupoints: 2 groups: 1, lung, adrenal gland, internal nose; 2, kidney, endocrine, subcortical.
(B) treatment method
Main acupuncture points are taken in 1 group at a time. Acupuncture with a 28-30 gauge 5-point milli needle. Make a mark after exploring the sensitive points in the acupuncture area, and then be acupuncture, both sides of the needle. After obtaining qi, the needle was left for 30 minutes, and the needle was performed once every 10 minutes. Once a day, 7 to 10 times for a course of treatment.
(C) Evaluation of curative effect
A total of 25 cases were treated, 20 cases were clinically cured, 4 cases were effective, 1 case was invalid, the effective rate was 96%.
The method has been followed up from 3 months to 6 years, and still has certain long-term efficacy.
Moxibustion
(A) acupuncture points
Main acupuncture points: divided into 2 groups: 1, Dazhi, Lung Yu; 2, Sansanli, Sanyinjiao, Hegu, Quchi.
Supporting points: Spleen Yu for spleen deficiency; Kidney Yu for kidney deficiency.
(B) Treatment
Take 1 group of main points at a time and use moxibustion. The patient is placed in a supine position with both hands flat, both eyes slightly closed, the whole body relaxed and breathing naturally. The practitioner will light the pure moxa roll to the acupuncture point smoked, and will move the moxa roll up and down. The distance is suitable for the patient to tolerate and feel comfortable. The duration of moxibustion is 30-40 minutes, and a local redness should appear. Then take the appropriate amount of moxibustion medicine, make a paste with fresh ginger juice, make a 1 cm diameter round cake and paste it on each point, cover with a dressing and fix it with adhesive tape for 24 hours to remove. The first course of treatment, every 10 days moxibustion paste 1 time, a total of 3 times. The second course of treatment every other month paste 1 time, also 3 times. General treatment for two courses.
Moxibustion medicine preparation: take Cang Er Zi, Xin Yi Hua, Xu Chang Qing, Hosin, Gan Sui, Shen Xiang, Cinnamon each equal amount of finely ground.
(iii) Evaluation of efficacy
The above method treated a total of 59 cases, the results were cured in 8 cases, apparent effect in 16 cases, effective in 31 cases, ineffective in 4 cases, the total effective rate was 93.2%.
Finger acupuncture
(A) Acupuncture points
Main acupoints: 2 groups: 1, nasal passage, hegu; 2, Yingxiang, Shaoshang.
Supporting points: Yangbai, Zanzhu, Shangxing, Baihui for forehead pain; Yuzhang, Miming, Yin Tang for orbital pain; Sun, Touwei, Rigu for migraine; Fengchi, Quchi for runny nose.
(B) Treatment
The main acupuncture points are taken as the main points, one group at a time; the supporting points are added according to the symptoms. First take the facial points, then the upper limb points. Use one thumb to cut the acupuncture point, first lightly cut it, gradually increase the pressure, add finger tremor appropriately during operation, and finally gradually reduce the pressure to end the treatment. Once a day, 15 times as a course of treatment.
(C) efficacy evaluation
A total of 500 cases were treated with this method, resulting in 352 cases cured, 104 cases with significant effect, 35 cases effective, and 9 cases invalid, with an overall efficiency of 98.2%.
Acupuncture Point Applying
(A) Acupoints
Main acupoints: Lung Yu, Fengmen, Diaphragm Yu, Da Loom, Spleen Yu, Kidney Yu.
(B) Treatment method
Preparation of compress: 20% each of patchouli, white mustard seed and pseudostellaria, 15% each of Gansui and Angelica dahurica, 10% of Yuanhu. The above medicines are finely ground together, add ice chips and a little musk, and make a paste with fresh ginger juice.
Patients take a sitting position, head slightly lowered, acupuncture point routine disinfection with skin needle percussion to slightly bleeding, then the upper medicine paste to the acupuncture point area, 24 hours after removal. 10 days once, 3 times a course of treatment. During the treatment period, abstain from eating cold, fishy and spicy food, pay attention to keep warm.
(C) efficacy evaluation
A total of 1000 cases, the results of clinical control of 360 cases, 390 cases of significant effect, 210 effective cases, invalid 40 cases. The total effective rate was 96%.
