Intrahepatic echogenic nodules, including hypoechoic and hyperechoic nodules, are nodular lesions found in the liver when ultrasound examination of the liver is performed, such as hepatic cysts, hepatic hemangiomas, and hepatocellular carcinoma. 1. Hypoechoic nodules in the liver refer to changes in which the image density on ultrasound is lower than the liver parenchyma, and may be the result of diseases such as liver cysts and cirrhotic nodules. It may also be primary or secondary malignant tumors, which should be taken seriously. 2. Intrahepatic hypoechoic nodules refer to nodules with high density in the liver, which can be mostly seen in benign and malignant diseases of the liver, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, intrahepatic choledocholithiasis and so on. It is recommended to go to the hospital in time and improve other examinations under the doctor’s guidance. If the diagnosis is clear, appropriate treatment should be carried out in time.
