How long does it take for a brain-damaged patient to recover?

Patients with brain injuries recover in about 1 to 2 months for mild cases. Severe cases may take 3~6 months to recover or even fail to recover for a long time.
1. Relatively mild brain injuries, such as concussion or minor brain contusion, can be recovered in about 2~3 weeks in the late stage, and can work, study and live normally in about one month without special treatment measures.
2. Relatively heavy brain injuries, such as brain hernia, diffuse axonal injury, etc., the recovery time will be very long, even need 3~6 months, and in special cases, there is a part of the patient has no way to recover.
Therefore, after brain injury, it is recommended to improve CT, MRI and other related examinations in time to comprehensively assess the specific recovery time.
