How to treat Turner syndrome

Turner syndrome, also known as congenital ovarian hypoplasia, is caused by the complete or partial deletion of one X chromosome and is characterized by short stature and failure to develop reproductive organs and secondary sexual characteristics. The main treatment method is to use hormones to stimulate the development of breasts and reproductive organs with estrogen and to promote height with androgens. However, in the process of medication, attention should be paid to the side effects of drugs, for example, if estrogen is applied too early, it can promote early healing of epiphysis and limit bone growth. Therefore, it is better to use androgens to promote height first, and then use estrogen to develop breasts and reproductive organs after reaching a more desirable height and healing of the epiphysis.
