Before each chemotherapy treatment, blood tests such as routine blood test, blood type, tumor markers, liver function, kidney function, etc., as well as gynecological ultrasound and chest X-ray should be done to detect metastatic lesions in women’s body as early as possible. Ovaries are located deep in the pelvic cavity of women and cannot be detected in the early stage. When a woman has abdominal pain, ascites or an unexplained abdominal mass, the diagnosis can be confirmed by pathological tests to extract the ascites or the mass. When ovarian masses are small and slow-growing, they can be reviewed regularly. If the mass grows rapidly or if complications such as ascites occur, surgery is needed in a timely manner.
