Is high Rheumatoid Factor, Sedimentation, and Anti-O Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Patients with high Rheumatoid Factor, Sedimentation and Anti-O are not necessarily rheumatoid arthritis. High rheumatoid factor test results mainly consider rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and other autoimmune diseases; elevated blood sedimentation results mainly provide diagnostic clues for multiple myeloma, myocardial infarction, tuberculosis, rheumatic fever and other diseases; anti-“O” mainly diagnoses scarlet fever, dengue, rheumatic fever and other diseases; elevated results in all three categories are not necessarily rheumatoid arthritis. Elevation of three items may not necessarily be rheumatoid arthritis. The diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis mainly relies on the patient’s symptoms, signs, X-rays and rheumatoid factor results to make a comprehensive judgment, so only relying on the rheumatoid factor, blood sedimentation, anti-“O” and other laboratory tests can not confirm the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. The test results should be interpreted and analyzed by a professional physician, and it is recommended that patients go to the rheumatology and immunology department of a regular hospital.
