It is mainly used in angiography, enhanced CT, and intracorporeal imaging to diagnose lesions by using the difference in blood supply between the lesion and the surrounding normal tissue and the difference in signal intensity after the uptake of contrast. Iodixanol injection has some side effects, such as allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, rapid breathing, redness of the skin, and in severe cases, bronchospasm, decreased blood pressure and even shock. Iohexol injection is mainly metabolized through the kidneys, so patients with poor kidney function are prone to contrast nephropathy, and must have kidney function-related tests before the examination.
