How can I consult an outpatient clinic for breast cancer genetics?

Some breast cancer patients have significant familial inheritance, mainly due to BRCA1/2 gene mutations, which may be passed on to offspring in 50% of cases, in addition to genes such as P53, PTEN and CDH1. Among them, women with BRCA1/2 mutation have about 45%-84% lifetime possibility of breast cancer and 11%-62% possibility of ovarian cancer. As a Shanghai Women and Infants Health Center, we are responsible for the prevention and screening of breast and ovarian cancer. We have opened a genetic counseling clinic to screen high-risk groups for breast/ovarian cancer, establish health follow-up files, formulate individualized prevention and medical examination plans, and provide reasonable advice on fertility, breastfeeding, contraception and other related aspects, so as to benefit the counselors through early diagnosis and treatment.
