The cough is caused by inflammation of the pharynx, respiratory tract and airway, and is usually triggered by inflammation, whether it is caused by external pathogens or allergies, that is, inflammation due to bad outside air, dust and odor stimulation, which can occur when blowing in the cool air. In Chinese medicine, this is due to cold phlegm in the lung meridian or lungs, and then the cough is aggravated by the internal and external cold after being exposed to the cool breeze, or the cough is more pronounced. When there is cold in the body, phlegm and dampness belong to the yin group, which is cold in nature and is easily triggered by external factors, and the cold wind is a particularly clear trigger for coughing. However, there are some thermal lesions that can also cause coughing, such as when the pharyngeal mucosa becomes congested when you have a cold or a fire, and if you are stimulated by the cold wind, the cold and heat will also trigger the sensitivity of the mucosa, which will then trigger coughing.
