Meniere’s syndrome is an idiopathic disease of the inner ear, the cause of which is not well understood, but is mostly thought to be due to fluid accumulation in the labyrinth of the inner ear. The main symptoms are episodes of vertigo with paroxysmal onset, lasting from a few minutes to a few hours, aggravated by head movement and relieved by resting with eyes closed, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, and in some patients, tinnitus, dullness and hearing loss, usually in one ear. The main purpose of treatment is to quickly relieve the patient’s dizziness, which can be treated symptomatically by applying nerve nutrition, improving microcirculation and dehydrating agents.
