Why do children snore when they sleep?

The causes of snoring in children are generally related to bad sleeping habits, respiratory infections, enlarged tonsils, heredity and so on.
1. Bad sleeping habits: children are more likely to snore when they have high pillows and like to sleep with pillows.
2. Respiratory tract infection: when the child has respiratory tract infection, it is easier to cause nasal congestion, and the respiratory tract is not smooth, which leads to snoring.
3. Enlarged tonsils: enlarged tonsils and adenoid hypertrophy, falling back of the uvula will affect normal breathing and snoring when sleeping.
4. Heredity: If there is a family history of snoring, the child is more likely to snore.
If your child snores more frequently, which affects his/her sleep and breathing, parents should take your child to a professional hospital to find out the cause of snoring and follow the doctor’s instructions.
