Patients with hemiplegia who do not receive proper early care may develop inversion of the foot, which is mainly caused by contracture of the Achilles tendon. Once the inversion of the foot occurs, it is recommended to communicate with the primary care physician for treatment. Our training focuses on stretching the Achilles tendon, both in the extended knee condition and in the flexed knee condition. The strength of the stretch must be moderate and must be gradually increased. In addition, a foot brace can be worn to prevent and treat the sagging of the pronated foot.
