The dosage of Hanxia Houpu Tang is usually 12 grams of Hanxia, 9 grams of Houpu, 12 grams of Poria, 15 grams of ginger, and 6 grams of Su Ye.
In Hanxia Houpu Tang, Hanxia can dissolve phlegm, disperse knots, harmonize the stomach and reduce rebelliousness (harmonize the stomach qi and bring down the upward rebellious qi); Houpu can dry dampness and move qi; Poria can strengthen the spleen and seep away dampness; ginger can harmonize the stomach and reduce rebelliousness; and Su Ye can move qi and broaden the chest.
