How to treat discogenic low back pain with minimally invasive surgery?

Discogenic low back pain refers to low back pain caused by degenerative disc disease, which may or may not be accompanied by radiating leg pain. Some patients only have persistent low back pain, but there is no sign of nerve compression on the imaging data, so these people are often misunderstood by colleagues or leaders as “having too many things to do, neglecting work, having psychological problems, etc.”; at the same time, many orthopedic surgeons also lack corresponding knowledge about the disease, so they often dismiss it with “it’s okay, just take some medicine “. Diagnosis of the disease requires lumbar discography, and if the examination induces or replicates the usual symptoms of back pain, the diagnosis can be established, and the treatment is minimally invasive surgery, which is very effective. Endoscopic laser, radiofrequency ablation and endoscopic lumbar interbody fusion are currently available. Chen**, male, 35 years old, complained of intractable low back pain for more than 2 years, and various conservative treatments were ineffective. MRI of lumbar spine showed L3-4 disc degeneration, discography induced out of low back pain, and L3-4 disc rupture. The symptoms completely disappeared after PLDD treatment was performed.
