Qing Xin Shen Xiang Ba Wei Wan works by clearing the heart and lungs, regulating the flow of Qi, and calming the mind (using medicines of a heavy sedative nature to stabilize the mind). The side effects of this drug are not known. Qingxin Shenxiang Bawei Pill is composed of Shenxiang, Safflower, Guangzhao, Nutmeg, Sandalwood, Geranium, Rosewood and Bei Sha Shen (北沙参). It has the efficacy of clearing the heart and lungs, regulating qi, calming and tranquilizing the mind. It is used for chest tightness caused by heart and lung fire, chest and rib tightness and pain, panic and shortness of breath. Not recommended for pregnant women. Avoid eating cold, spicy, animal fat food. Those who suffer from bleeding disorders and diabetes mellitus should take it under the guidance of physician. If the symptoms do not improve after one week of taking the medicine, go to the hospital. Take according to the dosage, the elderly and infirm should take under the guidance of a physician.
