When a woman experiences vaginal bleeding after intercourse, it is important to first rule out that the date of intercourse is around the time of menstruation or around the day of ovulation, a time period that itself has a tendency to bleed. Alternatively, it may be caused by inflammation of the vagina or by the presence of other gynaecological diseases such as fibroids or cervical lesions, in which case women are advised to go to a regular hospital for an early diagnosis.
