What to do about recurring high fevers from bacterial infections

Repeated high fever of bacterial infection should be timely anti-infective treatment, symptomatic treatment.
1. Anti-infection treatment: When the fever of bacterial infection is recurrent and difficult to go down, relevant specimens should be collected in time, such as sputum or tracheal secretion in case of lung bacterial infection, blood specimen in case of bacteremia, urine in case of urinary tract infection, cerebrospinal fluid in case of meningitis, etc., so that we can do the bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test to make clear pathogens, and then we can choose the sensitive antibiotics for anti-infection treatment.
2. Symptomatic treatment: it is very important to lower the temperature when the patient has repeated high fever, oral acetaminophen, diclofenac sodium and other antipyretic treatments; if the high fever causes the patient to be dehydrated, it should be taken to drink more water, infusion and other rehydration treatments; when the patient has cough and phlegm for the bacterial infection of the lungs, the patient should be promptly suppressed cough, expectorant treatment.
3. Surgical treatment: Bacterial infections with repeated high fever need to consider whether the combination of abscess, such patients are not effective in drug treatment, may need surgical treatment.
Bacterial infections with recurrent high fever should go to a regular hospital to clarify the pathogen, drug sensitivity test and the cause of recurrent high fever, and then carry out targeted treatment.
