The severity of Rathke’s cyst depends on the presence or absence of clinical symptoms in patients with Rathke’s cyst, a benign epithelial cyst originating from the pituitary Rathke’s capsule, which degenerates and disappears during embryonic life, with only a few failing to degenerate to form Rathke’s cysts.The most common clinical symptoms of Rathke’s cyst are headache, endocrine dysfunction, and visual impairment. Rathke’s cysts with associated symptoms should be treated surgically, and the transnasal approach is the preferred method of treatment.
