Can bladder|superficial uroepithelial carcinoma be cured?

Superficial uroepithelial carcinoma of bladder usually cannot be cured, but some studies claim that the clinical cure rate can reach 70%~80%, and there is also a high possibility of recurrence. Superficial uroepithelial carcinoma of bladder usually refers to the bladder cancer that only invades the mucosal layer or submucosal layer without muscle infiltration, which is non-muscle infiltrating uroepithelial carcinoma, such as papilloma, low malignant potential uroepithelial tumor, low malignant papillary uroepithelial tumor and high malignant papillary uroepithelial tumor. If only superficial uroepithelial cancer is detected at present, through timely treatment, most of the patients have good healing, and the clinical cure rate is as high as about 70%~80%. However, it cannot be cured radically and there is a risk of tumor recurrence. According to some studies, superficial uroepithelial carcinoma mostly has good clinical regression, but about 14% of patients will have tumor recurrence after surgery, and about 50% of them will have pathological progression, mostly to low-grade non-invasive papillary uroepithelial carcinoma, and a small portion of patients can progress to muscular layer invasive uroepithelial carcinoma. Patients should go to regular hospitals for treatment as soon as possible, undergo surgery, and take intravesical instillation treatment according to the situation.
