Gout patients need to prohibit the diet of high purine content or high fat content of food, as well as beer and so on.
1. Foods with high purine content: such as seafood, meat broth, animal offal, etc. all contain high purine content and should be avoided. And part of the vegetable purine content is also high, such as shiitake mushrooms (214mg/100g), asparagus (500mg/100g) and so on also need to avoid eating.
2. Foods with high fat content: such as fried foods, fatty meats and other high fat content should be avoided. Because too much fat intake will accumulate in the viscera, and then produce a large number of free fatty acids, increase the burden of liver metabolism, so that the uric acid synthase hyperfunction, and finally increase the production of uric acid, resulting in aggravation of the symptoms of gout.
3. Beer: some beer contains many hops, hops purine content is high, consumption of this beer will make the patient intake too much purine and cause uric acid rise. Secondly, alcohol metabolism will produce lactic acid, lactic acid and uric acid rely on the kidneys for metabolism, increased lactic acid will affect uric acid metabolism, which in turn increases the concentration of uric acid in the patient’s body, aggravating the condition.
Gout patients are advised to go to the hospital for detailed examination and treatment under the guidance of the doctor to avoid the deterioration of the condition.
