The treatment of rheumatoid arthritis includes general treatment and drug treatment.
1. General treatment: health education for patients, rest, joint braking, physical therapy such as infrared irradiation and so on. For acute patients, bed rest is necessary.
2. Drug treatment: antibiotics such as benzylpenicillin can be used to eliminate streptococcal infections, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as indomethacin and acetaminophen can be used to alleviate joint swelling and pain. Glucocorticosteroids such as prednisone acetate tablets may also be prescribed to relieve joint pain.
Rheumatoid arthritis patients are advised to go to the hospital for consultation and treatment under the guidance of doctors. The medication should be used in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, do not self-medicate.
