Muxiang Shunqi Pill has the effect of moving qi and removing dampness, strengthening the spleen and harmonizing the stomach (restoring the function of the spleen and stomach), while Baohe Pill has the effect of eliminating food, inducing stagnation and harmonizing the stomach. The composition, effect and main treatment of the above two medicines have no contraindications or conflicts, and therefore, they can be taken together, but a TCM practitioner should be consulted. Muxiang Shunqi Pill is composed of Muxiang, Sand Ren, Xiangfu, Betel nut, Licorice, Chenpi and Houpu. It is used in treating chest and diaphragm congestion, distension and pain in the epigastrium (abdomen), vomiting and nausea, belching (belching), nausea (no appetite, reduced food intake) caused by dampness and obstruction in the middle of the body, and disharmony between the spleen and the stomach. It should be noted that pregnant women should use with caution. Baohe Pills, composed of hawthorn, hexagrams, lycopodium, malt and so on. It is used for stagnation of food stagnation (food indigestion and accumulation in the stomach), distension and fullness in the epigastrium, belching and swallowing of acid (swallowing the acid in the stomach which goes up to the mouth and pharynx), and lack of appetite for food and drink. It should be noted that pregnant women should not take; lactating women and diabetics should be cautious.
