With the cold weather in winter, many people will have symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing and runny nose or headache, and they do not know what disease they have. Searching on the Internet will reveal that it is very much like having rhinitis, so is it rhinitis? Here, I introduce rhinitis to you. Rhinitis is a general term that is divided into many types, and the symptoms of different rhinitis are different. The common ones can be divided into chronic rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, hypertrophic rhinitis, drug rhinitis and so on.
Acute rhinitis: caused by acute infection, commonly known as “cold” or “flu”, can have systemic symptoms; autumn and winter or winter and spring turn more common. The disease usually improves gradually after 7~14 days. Those with strong resistance can be cured without treatment. It is worth noting that many acute infectious diseases have the local manifestations of acute rhinitis and lack the characteristics of the infectious disease itself, so clinical attention should be paid to differentiation.
Chronic simple rhinitis: It is a common multifactorial disease that develops from acute rhinitis. It is associated with combined bacterial secondary infections, incomplete treatment and recurrent episodes. It should be clinically distinguished from chronic hypertrophic rhinitis and chronic rhinosinusitis.
Chronic hypertrophic rhinitis: from chronic simple rhinitis, is the result of long-term chronic inflammation, bruising and hyperplasia of the nasal mucosa and turbinates. At this time, the mucosa thickens, tissue elasticity decreases, and the nasal cavity has poor ventilation, thus jeopardizing the physiological function of the nose.
Atrophic rhinitis: mainly atrophy of the nasal mucosa, periosteum and turbinate; due to atrophy of the nasal tissue, although the nasal cavity is relatively wide, the nasal mucosa loses its normal physiological function, and the patient still feels poor ventilation due to the formation of dry nasal dementia. When there is a bacterial infection, its toxins and excreta, etc. produce a foul odor, once smelled, never forget.
Allergic rhinitis: also known as allergic rhinitis, is caused by a high sensitivity of the nasal mucosa to certain components of the inhaled air. Its symptoms are very similar to those of a cold, but it can come on several times in a day; when it does not, it is completely normal. Episodes of allergic rhinitis are sometimes closely related to the seasons.
Rhinitis brings some impact on the life of patients. Next I will introduce what are the precautions for rhinitis in daily life, and I hope rhinitis patients will pay more attention to it.
First, timely correction of all nasal deformities.
Second, pay attention to the air cleanliness of the work and living environment, avoid contact with dust and chemical gases, especially harmful gases.
Third, strengthen exercise, improve physical fitness. Through exercise, the blood circulation can be improved and the blood flow in the nasal turbinates will not be blocked.
Fourth, strengthen nutrition and enhance positive energy.
Fifth, change the bad habit of picking the nose.
