The main contents of the sperm test report are the appearance of sperms, the liquefaction time of sperms, the number of sperms, ph value, and the malformation rate of sperms. Under normal physiological conditions, after ejaculation of semen, it will soon appear as a jelly clot, i.e. the coagulation of semen; and within 30min or 1h it will change to liquid state, i.e. the liquefaction of semen. If it does not liquefy for more than 1 hour, then it means that the sperm is not liquefied and cannot move freely, which may lead to male infertility. A normal man’s ejaculate volume ranges from 2 to 6 ml with a density of 20 million/ml and a semen ph between 7.2 and 7.8. The in vitro fertilization rate is reduced when the number of normal form sperm is below 15%. The color of normal spermatozoa is off-white or milky white and translucent. Within one hour of ejaculation, forward-moving spermatozoa should generally be at or above 50%, or fast linear-moving spermatozoa at or above 25%. Sperm tests are recommended to be performed at a regular medical facility. If in doubt, it is recommended to consult a medical professional.
