Functional training methods after hand surgery nerve transposition

Functional training is usually started after all nerve grafts are completed and external fixation such as head and arm braces are removed. Since nerve transposition surgery replaces the function of one nerve with another, the principle of exercise is to use one movement to drive another movement. Common nerve transposition surgery and corresponding functional exercise methods: 1. Nerve transposition: paracentral nerve ——>suprascapular nerve 2. Exercise method: shrugging (driven) ——>shoulder abduction 3. Nerve transposition: phrenic nerve ——>musculocutaneous nerve 4. Exercise method: inspiration (driven) ——>flexion of elbow 5. (8) or (musculocutaneous nerve + median nerve) 6.Exercise method: healthy shoulder adduction (driven) ——> affected side elbow flexion, wrist flexion 7.Nerve displacement: healthy side neck 7 ——> (neck 5 + neck 6) or upper stem 8.Exercise method: healthy side shoulder adduction (driven) ——> affected side elbow flexion, shoulder abduction 9.Nerve displacement: intercostal nerve ——> radial nerve 10. Exercise method: Inhalation (driven) ——>Elbow extension Each group of movements should be exercised more than 1500 times a day, and it is advisable to finish in three groups in the morning, midday and evening, with slow movements in place. Exercise early, the active action can not yet drive out the passive action, then you should use the brain to try hard to imagine the action to promote brain function as soon as possible to convert. Functional exercise period can be combined with electrical stimulation treatment, each group of nerves three times a day, each time half an hour, the specific method according to the guidance of the use of electrical stimulation instrument.
