Do you need surgery for glial thyroid cysts?

The thyroid cyst is a benign nodule of the thyroid gland. If the cyst is not particularly large and does not cause pressure on the surrounding organs, surgical treatment is generally not required, and patients are advised to have their thyroid gland ultrasound checked regularly. Surgery may be considered when the following conditions occur: 1) significant increase in thyroid cysts; 2) localized pain in the thyroid gland; 3) thyroid cysts combined with infection or secondary bleeding, etc. Surgery should be considered.
