Omental cyst torsion is a clinical manifestation of omental cysts. Omental torsion refers to the twisting of the greater omentum along its longitudinal axis and causes its blood circulation to become impaired. It is generally classified as primary or secondary. The torsion is often clockwise and can be twisted multiple times. What are the examination methods for omental cysts? I. Laboratory tests In acute abdominal disease, most patients may have an increased terminal leukocyte count. Second, imaging examination 1, abdominal X-ray plain film can be seen in the abdomen with a fluid-filled soft tissue mass shadow, skin-like cysts can sometimes have calcification, bone and/or teeth and other structures. 2.Barium meal examination There may be signs of small intestine displacement or compression, the small intestine is pushed to the posterior upper abdomen and the sides of the spine, the stomach is displaced upward, and the distance between the anterior abdominal wall and the small intestine is significantly widened. Barium enema examination shows that the transverse colon is displaced upward and the elevated colon is displaced posteriorly and laterally. 3.B ultrasound examination is the preferred examination method. If it can show a cystic mass that is close to the anterior abdominal wall, with clear boundaries, easily displaced by the probe to all sides, and clearly demarcated from the liver, spleen, pancreas, kidneys and ovaries, it has important value for the diagnosis of this disease. Given that this test is simple, rapid and painless, it is particularly useful for the diagnosis of large omental cysts complicated by torsion or internal bleeding. 4, abdominal arteriogram shows images of the large omental artery and its branches extending and encircling the cyst, providing direct and strong evidence for the diagnosis of this disease. 5.Laparoscopy allows direct visualization of the mass.
