How to treat wrist cysts

The most common clinical wrist cyst is tendon sheath cyst, and there are three ways to treat wrist cysts: First, for patients who do not want to undergo surgery or whose cysts are less than 2 cm in size, they can first take a conservative observation approach and review the ultrasound once every 3-6 months. For patients with local pain symptoms, it is recommended to take surgical treatment. If patients really refuse surgery, they can also give local pressure to the cyst to force it to rupture, which can relieve local pain, but it is very easy to cause recurrence of cysts. Third, for cysts larger than 3cm, and accompanied by obvious pain symptoms, finger numbness, most of the cysts are considered to be accompanied by local nerve compression, patients are advised to perform surgical excision as soon as possible, the surgical excision must pay attention to the integrity of the cyst envelope, to avoid the rupture of the cysts caused by recurrent attacks.
