What are the effects, actions and uses of Chuanxiong rhizome

Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong is effective in activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis (promoting blood circulation and eliminating blood stasis in the body), regulating qi and relieving pain (relieving pain by unblocking qi), and dispersing wind and dispersing cold, and is mainly used for treating chest paralysis (stuffy pain in the chest) due to stagnation of the heart veins and channels, such as cardiac pain, etc. It is also useful in treating chest pain due to blood stasis and blood stagnation, and may be taken internally in decocted soup or powdered for external use.
