What to do if your wisdom teeth become inflamed during pregnancy

Wisdom tooth inflammation in pregnancy can be solved by paying attention to oral cleaning, rinsing the blind pocket and eating a light diet.

1. Pay attention to oral hygiene: Brush your teeth twice a day, morning and evening, and rinse your mouth with mouthwash after brushing, which can inhibit the reproduction of bacteria and the formation of plaque, and reduce the pain.

2. Rinse the blind pocket: you can use hydrogen peroxide or saline to rinse the blind pocket (the pocket structure formed around the wisdom teeth due to the gums covering more) when the pain is more intense, rinse out the food debris and pus inside, which can reduce the pain very well. After rinsing, apply some iodized glycerin inside the blind pocket to sterilize it.

3. Light diet: Eat a light diet, more foods containing vitamins and less spicy and stimulating foods.

If the symptoms of wisdom tooth inflammation and pain persist without relief, or if the pain worsens and is accompanied by fever and other symptoms, consult a doctor in time and standardize the treatment under the doctor’s guidance. Wisdom teeth can also be extracted in mid-pregnancy, if necessary, after evaluation by a doctor.
