Do you need to review your lumbar fracture after removing the nail?

A review is needed after the removal of the steel nail for a lumbar spine fracture. The purpose of the review is mainly to determine the recovery of the lumbar spine fracture, such as whether the fracture line is completely disappeared, whether the fracture is well aligned, and whether there is any compression of the spinal canal. Generally, X-rays and vertebral CT are used for the review. If the patient’s X-ray indicates that the fracture line has disappeared and the alignment is good, it means that the fracture has reached clinical healing. If the patient’s review reveals that the fracture line still exists, or even misalignment, the patient’s condition can be controlled in time to avoid exacerbation of the condition. Review can effectively avoid the patient left with different degrees of dysfunction, to ensure the integrity of the body structure and functional continuity. Therefore, it is necessary to review the lumbar vertebral fracture after removing the steel nail.
