We all have such experience in life, when the bright sunlight shines into the clean window, we can see the dense dust along the beam, but in the dim place or the room with the window screen we can not see these tiny particles at all. However, if some of the following situations occur, you should go to the hospital in time: the black shadow gradually becomes deeper and larger or fixed, the visual field appears defective or lines bent and deformed, combined with frequent flashing sensation in front of the eyes, sudden loss of vision, etc., that may be some other fundus problems. Especially for patients with diabetes, high myopia and other patients who originally have some systemic or fundus problems, special attention should be paid to post-operative rest and care. It is best to review the fundus regularly after surgery to rule out possible potential fundus lesions, vitreous hemorrhage, retinal fissure detachment and other conditions.
After cataract surgery, some people may feel that the color of seeing things seems a little different from before surgery, especially the flame on the gas stove looks especially blue. This is especially noticeable when comparing one eye after surgery and the other before. What is going on here? Actually, the lens of a normal young person is transparent and basically colorless. As we age, the slow formation of cataracts occurs and develops, and the color of the lens gradually deepens. “More often than not, its color gradually changes from clear to light yellow, dark yellow, brown or even black. This process is like having sunglasses of various colors put on in front of our eyes, and because the change occurs gradually over the years, our eyes do not feel that the hue of what we see has quietly changed. After the cataract is cleared, light can fully enter the eye, as if we have taken off the sunglasses on a sunny day, naturally we will feel that the clouds are particularly white and the sky is particularly blue. Especially for patients with high cataract hardness and darker lens color, the difference will be more obvious. If you are not able to adapt to it in the short term, you can wear a pair of light-colored sunglasses for a temporary transition, and you will gradually adapt to the normal bright world.
