There is essentially no scientific basis for the online freehand self-assessment of anterior pelvic tilt, and past studies quantifying pelvic tilt by the angle between the level and the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and posterior superior iliac spine are also outdated.
Anterior pelvic tilt can only be determined by imaging methods, and whether this tilt is clinically significant needs to be combined with a specialist’s diagnosis.
