Precautions to be taken during PET-CT examination

  1.Patients must bring their existing examination and treatment data (including: CT and MRI imaging films and ultrasound reports; puncture, biopsy or surgical pathology reports; tumor markers and other related tests and labs; treatment records and discharge summary, etc.) to the PET-CT center at the appointed time.  2.When female examinee may be or is pregnant or breastfeeding, please explain to the staff in advance during the appointment.  3.Fast food, sugary drinks, intravenous glucose infusion, strenuous or long physical exercise are prohibited 6 hours before the examination; alcohol is prohibited within 24 hours before the examination; avoid driving on the day of the examination; try to dress warmly when the temperature is low on the day of the examination.  4.After the injection of the imaging agent, the patient should rest in the designated area, keep quiet, walk less, and avoid talking with others as much as possible.  5.Before starting the image acquisition, the subject should go to the bathroom to drain the urine as much as possible.  6.During the examination, the subject should remove the metal ornaments worn by him/her.
