Experience in Chinese medicine treatment of lung cancer

Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors worldwide that seriously endangers human life and health, with the incidence rate and death rate topping the list of malignant tumors and on the rise year by year. Since the prognosis of lung cancer is very poor, it is extremely important to provide effective treatments for lung cancer patients. It is generally accepted in the medical field that the main measure to improve the efficacy of lung cancer is multidisciplinary and comprehensive treatment. Chinese medicine, as an important component of comprehensive tumor treatment, is playing an increasingly important role in the comprehensive treatment of tumors. Chinese medicine treatment for lung cancer is based on the etiology and pathogenesis of its formation, through the combination of evidence-based treatment, evidence-based and disease-based treatment, and the application of Chinese medicine treatment modalities to different treatment means and different stages of lung cancer, which can effectively reduce the side effects of surgery and radiotherapy treatment, control tumor, survive with tumor, improve symptoms, enhance the immunity of the body, delay the course of the disease, and greatly improve the quality of life of patients. The occurrence of lung cancer is closely related to the deficiency of positive qi and the invasion of evil toxins. The lung is a delicate organ, which is easily attacked by smoke, miasma, industrial waste gas and ore dust pollution, so external poisonous invasion is a common cause of the disease. Deficiency, phlegm and stagnation are the basic pathogenesis of lung cancer, which runs through the whole course of the disease. Therefore, lung cancer is a disease caused by deficiency, and the deficiency causes the actual disease. It is a disease of whole body deficiency and localized reality. A deep understanding of the pathogenesis and pathological characteristics of lung cancer provides a solid theoretical foundation for clinical Chinese medicine treatment. I have the following experiences in the treatment of lung cancer, which are introduced as follows: 1. Identification is the essence of TCM and is the theoretical core of TCM treatment of lung cancer. For each lung cancer patient, whether or not to undergo surgery or radiotherapy, the information collected from the four consultations should be analyzed and summarized to identify the evidence, determine the type of evidence, determine the corresponding treatment method, and then select the medicine according to the law. However, it is not enough just to identify the evidence, because of the special pathological and biological characteristics of lung cancer, on the principle and basis of identifying the evidence, it should be combined with the treatment of identifying the disease. 2. Discriminatory treatment according to different stages. The clinical manifestations, treatment methods and transformation of different stages and phases of lung cancer are different, so firstly, the characteristics of different stages and phases of lung cancer should be clearly identified and analyzed. For example, for early stage lung cancer patients, since the evil toxin is not deep and the positive energy is not injured, the treatment is mainly to eliminate the evil and to support the positive, together with surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. As for middle and late stage lung cancer patients, due to long-standing illness, excessive loss of vital energy, or excessive loss of body fluid after surgery, or excessive adverse reaction to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, or metastasis causing chest and ascites or other complications, resulting in further depletion of the body, the deficiency is prominent, especially due to deficiency of vital energy and yin injury. In late stage patients, the phenomenon of yin injury and yang occurs due to the long term injury of both qi and yin. Therefore, while nourishing yin medicine is used, drugs that warm yang and nourish the kidney, such as bone marrow and Epimedium, are often added. On the one hand, it can prevent the phenomenon of Yin injury and Yang, and on the other hand, it can harmonize the drugs to avoid nourishing Yin and helping dampness. 3, people-oriented focus on individualized treatment. Chinese medicine treatment of tumor should emphasize people-oriented, according to each patient’s own situation, to give evidence-based treatment, and ultimately improve the quality of survival. At present, lung cancer is mainly treated by western medicine, in which surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are the main treatment means. However, Chinese medicine, as an increasingly important part of comprehensive treatment, has irreplaceable clinical efficacy in improving clinical symptoms, preventing recurrence and metastasis, prolonging survival time with tumor and improving survival quality, whether it is combined with surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, or simply Chinese medicine treatment. 4.Simple Chinese medicine treatment can relieve symptoms and control tumor growth. For patients with advanced stage or lesions unsuitable for surgery, radiotherapy, molecular target therapy or old age unsuitable for surgery, simple Chinese medicine treatment can be used, which can significantly improve clinical symptoms by combining the characteristics of lung cancer pathogenesis, disease stage and disease characteristics, and can adjust the balance of human yin and yang, qi and blood, stabilize the internal environment of the body, stabilize the disease, improve the quality of life and prolong the survival period. Patients with advanced lung cancer can take the Chinese patent medicine Zhengqi Fuzheng Capsule combined with Chinese traditional medicine to improve symptoms, enhance immunity, control disease development, improve survival quality and prolong survival period.
