The Huanjiu point is located in the place of the buttocks, at the intersection of the outer 1/3 and inner 2/3 of the line connecting the most convex point of the greater trochanter of the femur and the sacral cleft. Huanjiu Acupuncture Point is located on the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, which is the meeting point of the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian and the Foot Solar Bladder Meridian, and is situated in the gluteal area at the intersection of the inner 2/3 and the outer 1/3 of the line connecting the most convex point of the greater trochanter of the femur and the sacral cleft hole. Huanjiu point can dispel wind-dampness, benefit the waist and legs, and open the meridians. It can be used to treat lower limb impotence paralysis (weakness, numbness and pain in the lower limbs), lumbar and leg pain, swelling and pain in the feet, hemiplegia (inability to move one side of the limbs at will), sciatica and other localized diseases, and it is a commonly used point for the treatment of lumbar and leg diseases, and it can be used for the treatment of rubella, eczema and other skin diseases as well. A 3-inch acupuncture needle is commonly used when needling the Huanjiu acupoint, with the lower leg straightened and the upper leg bent.
