What is the pain behind my ear when I wear a mask?

The mask relies mainly on two elastic cords that are fixed near the body’s mouth and nose.
If the patient wears the mask for a longer period of time, the taut elastic cords will compress the tissues behind the ear and induce a significant pain sensation. Patients can take the mask off after every period of wearing it and massage the ear, or they can choose a looser mask to wear.
