What is the pain behind the ear and headache?

The first condition, acute purulent middle ear mastoiditis, manifests as inflammation of the middle ear tympanic cavity and mastoid process. When the inflammation is severe, a subperiosteal abscess of the mastoid process can be formed, manifesting as a painful sensation behind the ear and in the head. In the second case, some patients have pain behind the ear caused by cerebral vascular spasm or cervical spondylosis, and this is still a frequent occurrence. In the third condition, some patients have auricular herpes zoster, and this painful sensation may occur in the early stages of viral infection or after the virus has healed and the neuralgia is posterior. In the fourth case, some patients have neuralgia around the ear induced by factors such as fire or staying up late, and the neuralgia radiates to the head and manifests as a painful sensation in the head.
