The vast majority of gallbladder polyp lesions are cholesterol-based polyps, and this group of patients should be asymptomatic. At least the cholesterol polyps themselves do not cause any symptoms. Of course, if it is combined with cholecystitis or gallbladder stones, there will be symptoms caused by cholecystitis and gallbladder stones. Some patients have upper abdominal pain or right upper abdominal pain, which is not necessarily caused by cholesterol polyps. This is because the organs in the upper abdomen or right upper abdomen include the stomach, duodenum, colon, liver, bile ducts, pancreas, and so on. Some symptoms are nonspecific. In some people, the pain is even myofasciitis of the abdominal wall or intercostal neuralgia. So if you experience a gallbladder polyp-like lesion combined with certain symptoms you must come to a tertiary care hospital for a review so that your doctor can help you determine what is wrong with these non-specific symptoms.
