1.Post-operative diet
Within 6 hours after varicose vein surgery, pay attention to observe whether the patient has nausea, vomiting and other uncomfortable symptoms, if not, can eat a liquid or semi-liquid diet, after which a normal diet can be eaten. In the selection of food, attention should be paid to diversification and nutrition, as much as possible to allow patients to intake vitamins and trace elements, to ensure the intake of water, to speed up wound healing.
2.Post-operative observation of urine
Within 6 hours after surgery, you should observe the urinary situation (especially for men, elderly patients and patients with prostatic hyperplasia), observe whether there is pain in the abdomen and difficulty in urination, apply hot towels to the abdomen first, if you still cannot defecate, please contact the bedside doctor or the doctor on duty in time.
3.Postoperative bed rest and activities
After returning to the hospital bed after surgery, you should lie down with the pillow under the operated lower limb and elevate the affected limb by 20-30cm to enhance the venous reflux, reduce the swelling of the affected limb and form a barrier to prevent deep vein thrombosis. From the second day after surgery, the patient should walk out of bed every day to prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis.
4.Postoperative dressing and wound dressing change
It is normal for open surgery patients to have mild swelling of the affected limb after surgery due to bandage wrapping. If you feel that the swelling is uncomfortable, please contact the bedside physician or the physician on duty in time, and do not remove the bandage or loosen the bandage by yourself to avoid hemorrhage from the incision of the affected limb.
After the operation, according to the condition of the limb incision, the medicine will be changed once every 2-3 days, and the stitches will be removed 12-14 days after the operation. After the removal of the stitches, it is recommended to wear medical elastic stockings for a long period of time, and to stop using them at night. Avoid prolonged sitting and standing and heavy physical activities, and actively treat constipation and chronic cough.
