Multiple gastric polyps do not always require surgery, gastric polyps is a common term, according to its etiology, including inflammatory polyps and tumor polyps. If benign polyps caused by gastritis or other gastric ulcers are less than 3mm in diameter, they are not treated clinically, that is, no surgery is needed, and active treatment of the primary disease and avoidance of overly oily and spicy food can usually provide symptomatic relief or even cure. For benign polyps over 3 mm, even after strict dietary or pharmacological treatment, they may not be completely eliminated and can be endoscopically electrocautery or excised. For neoplastic polyps such as mesenchymal tumors, partial gastrectomy or endoscopic resection is recommended for polyps over 1 cm, while for malignant polyps, i.e. polyps with malignant changes, radical surgery for gastric cancer is required.
