Rest days for polyp surgery

The number of days to rest after polyp surgery mainly depends on the type of polyp and the surgical method, which should be analyzed specifically and cannot be generalized. There are many types of polyps, including cervical polyps, gastric polyps, colon polyps, vocal cord polyps, nasal polyps, etc. If it is cervical polyp, nasal polyp, etc., you can usually rest for 7-15 days after surgery. In the case of vocal cord polyps, the patient may have a slightly longer rest period, usually taking more than 1 month to recover. In the case of minimally invasive endoscopic polyp removal surgery, patients can usually be discharged 1-2 days after surgery, and symptoms can be effectively relieved in about 3-4 days, and patients can usually rest for about 1 week to live and work normally. If the polyp is too large to be surgically removed endoscopically, open surgery is required. Patients need to rest for another week or so, usually around 15-20 days, after the wound is completely healed and stitches are removed. In addition, different types of polyps pay attention to different things, such as cervical polyps surgery, patients should not have sexual intercourse immediately after surgery. After intestinal polyp surgery, patients should pay attention to their diet and avoid eating spicy and irritating foods, etc. Patients should not talk, vocalize, etc. for 15 days after vocal cord polyp surgery.
