Is a polyp on the stomach serious?

  Polyps on the stomach are not serious and usually belong to benign lesions, so there is no need to be overly nervous. However, the possibility of cancer cannot be ruled out and needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis.  Stomach polyp refers to the protruding papillary tissue growing on the surface of the gastric mucosa, the diameter of the polyp is less than 5mm, there are no obvious symptoms, no special treatment is needed, every six months to review the gastroscopy, close observation can be. In addition, if the polyps show surface ulceration and erosion, and are accompanied by abdominal pain, poor nausea and weakness, they may become cancerous and need timely symptomatic treatment.  In daily life, patients should develop good eating habits, regular meal times, and avoid eating cold, spicy and other stimulating foods, especially for larger polyps, they should eat mild and easily digestible foods to avoid stimulating the polyps and causing further development of the disease.
