Gastric polyps are not necessarily early stages of cancer, and not all gastric polyps are cancerous. Most gastric polyps are benign. The causes of gastric polyps are not particularly clear to date and are usually thought to be directly related to factors such as family genetics, H. pylori infection, smoking, and alcohol consumption. Clinically, many patients do not know they have gastric polyps at all in the early stage, because there are no particularly obvious symptoms, most of them are unintentionally known during gastroscopy. Patients should not be too nervous if they have gastric polyps, because they are mostly benign and no special treatment is usually necessary for asymptomatic polyps. However, adenomatous polyps have a high cancer rate and can be treated surgically after biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. Patients should pay attention to daily care, avoid stimulating diet, maintain a good state of mind, supplement the importance of disease monitoring and regular review.
