Most of them will gradually subside after 1-2 weeks. If a raised surface dense hyperplastic scar appears, it can be softened by local steroid hormone injection (once a month); it usually fades gradually in 3 months to half a year, eventually presenting flat or depressed softened scar traces, if it is still more obvious it can be further weakened by laser. 11.
