Paroxetine is a treatment for anxiety disorders. Paroxetine is a selective pentraxin reuptake inhibitor that increases the concentration of the neurotransmitter pentraxin and also has mild anticholinergic effects, as well as mildly increasing the concentration of norepinephrine.
