To accurately determine renal function, blood needs to be drawn to check creatinine and urea nitrogen. If creatinine is less than 200, intravenous pyelogram can be performed to determine whether there is obstruction in the ureter and the cause of obstruction. You must receive early surgical treatment, preferably percutaneous nephrolithotomy and minimally invasive means to resolve ureteral obstruction at the same time, otherwise you will definitely develop chronic renal insufficiency (i.e. renal failure) and uremia.
