  Cholelithiasis Concept: A disease in which gallstones are produced in the bile ducts or gallbladder, causing severe abdominal pain, jaundice, fever and other symptoms, is called “cholelithiasis”. Gallstone disease is one of the most common biliary tract diseases in China. According to the composition of stones, there are three types of stones: cholesterol stones, bile pigment stones, and mixed stones, among which cholesterol stones are the most common. According to the location of occurrence, they can be divided into gallbladder stones, extrahepatic bile duct stones and intrahepatic bile duct stones.  Health care measures: 1. Gallbladder stones that are usually asymptomatic and detected by ultrasound during physical examination can be called static gallstones. In order to improve the quality of life and protect the function of the gallbladder, you can still eat as usual without taking medication and have regular physical examination and review.  2. Patients with symptomatic gallbladder stones should control fatty meat and foods with high cholesterol content, and not eat fried foods, but not completely avoid fatty foods.  3.If there are episodes of hidden pain in the right upper abdomen, you can be vegetarian and use antispasmodic drugs as well as anti-inflammatory and choleretic drugs.  4, there is the occurrence of severe pain or accompanied by xanthogranuloma, should immediately go to the hospital for examination and treatment, do not take painkillers arbitrarily by themselves, so as not to delay the disease.  5, gallstone disease is a surgical disease, conservative medical treatment is only applicable to the stage of temporarily do not need surgery or not suitable for surgery, specific treatment should be according to the instructions of the physician.  6, applied to the clinical treatment of gallstone disease, the real value of various drugs are not many, the so-called litholytic drugs are only used for cholesterol stones.  7.Multiple gallstones filled with gallbladder and accompanied by loss of gallbladder function or gallbladder atrophy are considered to be closely related to gallbladder cancer and should be operated on.  8.Cholesterol crystals in the gallbladder suggested by ultrasound may progress to cholesterol stones, but they may disappear in small amounts, and most of the gallbladder polyps suggested by ultrasound are cholesterol polyps or inflammatory polyps, which may become the core of gallstones. They should be followed up.
