Side effects of Felodipine Extended-Release Tablets are dose-related, individualized, and do not occur in every patient. Its common side effects include flushing, dizziness and headache, peripheral edema, rash, nausea, hypotension and other discomforts. Felodipine is primarily a vasodilator of arterial blood vessels, and it also has a dilating effect on peripheral arteries, so it can cause headache and flushing. When the dosage of felodipine is increased it may cause edema of the ankle, but it is mostly mild to moderate. There is also a possibility of hypotensive manifestations if the drug is given in higher doses. Adverse reactions such as gingivitis, periodontitis, constipation, and rash may occur in a few reports in some patients. When the above adverse reactions occur, timely consultation should be made, and try to avoid inappropriate self-reducing or stopping the drug, which may cause blood pressure rebound and aggravate the condition.
