The main differences between the ultrasound manifestations of hepatitis B fibrosis and fatty liver are the different colors of the liver, the different ultrasound echoes, the different degrees of blood vessel display and the different shapes.
1. Different color of liver: when doing ultrasound examination of hepatitis B fibrosis, usually there is no obvious color change of liver. Fatty liver will appear whitish color in ultrasound examination, which is called bright liver performance.
2. Different ultrasound echoes: ultrasound examination of hepatitis B fibrosis will show thickening of liver tissue echoes and uneven and non-smooth peripheral membrane phenomenon. In the ultrasound examination of steatohepatitis, there will be hyperechoic phenomenon of liver parenchyma and deceleration of deep echogenicity of liver.
3. The degree of blood vessel display is different: in patients with hepatitis B fibrosis, ultrasonography will show the phenomenon of dilatation of blood vessels in the liver, such as dilatation of portal vein and splenic vein. On the other hand, in ultrasound examination of fatty liver, the local blood vessels will be blurred.
4. Different appearance: Hepatitis B fibrosis will find the phenomenon of reduced liver volume through ultrasound examination, which is related to the fibrosis of liver parenchyma. On the other hand, fatty liver will show the phenomenon of increasing liver volume in ultrasound examination.
If abnormalities are found in the liver through ultrasound, standardized treatment should be carried out under the guidance of professional physicians to prevent the condition from worsening in the later stage.
